The Innovation with and for a Purpose Summit presented by The Media and Innovation Lab (The MIL) at The University of Miami in collaboration with The Mico University College is a landmark global summit set for March 17–19, 2026, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Designed to catalyse inclusive, ethical, and transformative innovation across the Global South, the summit will explore how general-purpose technologies focusing on AI, biotechnology, immersive computing, advanced sensors, and cloud infrastructure can be harnessed not only for innovation, but for impact. Through visionary keynotes, sectoral sessions, live demonstrations, and major programme launches such as The MILEU Certificate and the GHIVE, the event will position Jamaica and the wider Caribbean as pivotal nodes in the global innovation ecosystem, bridging technology, education, and human-centered design to build sovereign, future-ready societies powered by creativity, collaboration, and purpose.
